Most of "couponing" has ben destroyed by the "Extreme Couponing" TV shows. I see products appear in stores with the "Use Now" coupons that expire in 3 weeks (Or less). There are coupons in Sunday papers that don't last two months.Thanks Jackwads, you ruined it for everyone else. Unless the product doesn't expire or I've got a bucket of money to use up the coupons RIGHT NOW, they are basically worthless. The only good coupons any more are inside the sealed product box, and they are getting so if you buy it like now, in May, it expires December 31 of THIS year. On OTC drugs or food products they used to last 2 years or more. Now if you get a coupon that lasts six months before it expires, you are lucky.

I really like this...very informative along with easy to understand instructions for someone just starting out. I highly recommend it
Good for the person just getting started-college students, just married or on your own, trying to save money for whatever reason. Good info but could use a little editing. I saw some misspellings, and repeated phrases, but they didn't affect the message.
Learned nothing new from this book. Good for the beginner though.
Out of all the couponing books available that I've read which contain 99% of the same information, this one falls short in several ways. First, it is poorly written. There is one grammatical error after another which makes it difficult or awkward to read.
Second, in an attempt at trying to say that coupons save one money, the author writes "Since coupons allow consumers to get discounts, this means that they can save $1 for a $3 item. First of all rather than use the word "discounts" the more appropriate word should have been "savings". Also, this statement is misleading as couponing does not offer you a "flat" $1 off a $3.00 item which is implied. Coupons come in a variety of cents or dollars off for the purchase of one item or in some cases 2 or more.
In another paragraph, the author attempts to describe the savings that can be earned by extreme couponers. The truth is that the programming which demonstrated these extreme couponers turned out to be "staged". Since then manufacturers and stores have changed their coupon policies whereby getting $1000 worth of product for $8.00 is a fantasy. The average couponer today can save about $10 to $20 a week.
And "welfare coupon" . . . "people living in the poverty line"? Say what?
I thought that this book was pretty good, but I think that it needs to go into more detail. For example, it could talk a lot more about actually using the coupons; different strategies for using them, how to actually find the best deals, how to combine the coupons with store sales and things like register rewards...etc
